Wealth
From slavery in the 19th century to the Civil Rights movement of the 20th century and now with Black Lives Matter, it’s clear that some in this country don’t see black people as their equals. In my portraits series Wealth, the gold tones on the body represent the value we have as African American’s today are still viewed as less than whole human beings. I hope to bring awareness to this problem with Wealth so we can have a better tomorrow because the only way we can be a great country is if we value and care for one another.
